A statue of Buddha’s busts, calming music and the natural elements, wood, water and stone that enshrine the entire Lounge all add a touch of the Buddha Bar feel and help achieve a tranquil ambience.

You can sit back relax and enjoy your hair cut, colour, relaxing, rebonding, perming, spa, manicure, pedicure or head massage while grooving to the beats of our very own in house DJ or watching your favorite programme on your personal mini screen. You could flip through a magazine and sip on our delicious mocktails!

Our warm and friendly staff and stylists will pamper you and go out of their way ensure that each client leaves feeling happy and satisfied with their experience. Every client who enters the lounge is offered a free consultation with a stylist who make suggestions to them with the help of magazines and refrences enabling them to find the look and style that suits them. Only after ensuring that the client is completely satisfied with the recommendation would the stylist take them in for the cut.

Hakim was one of the first celebrity hair stylists in the city, who styled the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Vinod Khanna, Bruce Lee and Richard Harris. He started playing with hair at the age of 16 in FYJC, and used to give cuts to his friends in Mithibai College. Aalim’s father’s exciting profession had always inspired him. At the age of nine Aalim pick up his fathers scissors and started imitating him. Since his early days he always knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

“With absolutely no formal training at all, I gave my first haircut when I was in the tenth standard. I borrowed a pair of scissors from my dad, who was also a hairstylist, and I used a building friend as my guinea pig! He knew of my passion for hairstyling and readily agreed to let me experiment with this hair. I guess he was more than just a good friend! After exchanging inputs, I gave him a really short, trendy haircut. I didn’t like the way it turned out, but he loved it, and so did his family and friends. My first haircut was all about fun, experimentation and fashion… I guess some things never change!”

Aalim attends many conferences and seminars to stay in touch and be constantly updated of the latest trends in the hair industry. Over the past five years Aalim has established himself as the first choice of many Bollywood actors. “The first star that I cut hair for was Vivek Oberoi. We are college friends and used to act in plays together. I now do his hair all the time.”  He has also styled the likes of Yuvraj Singh and the Rawalpandi Express Shohaib Aktar.

Aalims tresses are ruling Bollywood and he wants to go a step ahead of where his father left of….
